Jab Djab

Celebrate Nuits d’Afrique without Ross, Wayne and André? Unthinkable! Jab Djab was there right from the start, with its sense of fun, its mischievousness and its great talent for getting the audience on its feet. Its version of the hit Hot Hot Hot is undeniably the anthem of the Club Balattou, the festival’s headquarters. This is a cult piece to which generations of Caribbean music lovers have swayed and will continue doing so for a long time to come. The inseparable trio has not aged a bit, as dynamic, generous, lively and explosive as ever. It is surrounding itself for this evening with an array of artists who have come to pay a fiery tribute to myriad rhythms, including King Shadrock (Jamaica – Québec), Kabé Konaté (Burkina Faso – Québec) and Kayiri (Burkina Faso – Québec).
