Moridja

Moridja is a multidisciplinary artist of Congolese descent whose very first notes catch us in his net. Since the start of his career, he has been a hit with the public and the press. His music is a perfect blend of R&B, soul, reggae and reggaeton to a background of Congolese rumba.

Moridja began singing at age 8 in a church choir and immediately developed a passion for song. At age 16, he joined his brother Honoré and his friend Manu to create the group Iris, whose first single, Regret, was unanimously acclaimed upon its release.

At age 23, he left the Congo and headed to France to continue his studies in visual arts at the École des beaux arts in Nantes. In 2010, he won first prize at the Dakar Biennale. Since then, his artwork has been presented at some of the world’s top museums, in Canada, France, Denmark, Germany, Morocco, South Africa and elsewhere.

Moridja has now returned to his greatest passion, music. If his new music is anything to go by, he is ready to conquer the world.
