Welcome to the 17th edition of Syli d’Or de la musique du monde!

 

From February 13 to April 25, 2024, every Tuesday and Wednesday at 8:30pm at the Club Balattou, you can participate to the selection of the 9 bands ‘’Coup de coeur’’ who will be send in semi-finales !

▷ FULANI POETRY| Spoken Word, Slam (Senegal, Burkina Faso)

Adama Moussa SY, hailing from Podor, Senegal, delved into rap in the late 1990s. Since 2021, he has been involved in international cooperation between Senegal, Canada, and French Guiana. Under the alias DOUBLE SERVO, he has created the show “FULANI POETRY,” blending slam and music with African instruments to showcase the Fulani culture spoken in over 16 West African countries.

 

▷ SHAHRZAD AND HER LATIN-ORIENTAL BAND | Latin, Oriental (Cuba, Iran, Egypt)

Dive into the immersive experience of an artistic fusion, where the enchanting rhythms of Afro-Cuban tradition harmoniously blend with the melodic richness of Oriental music. Founder Shahrzad Sabzehali is driven by an innovative and ambitious artistic vision, aiming to create a harmonious fusion of Afro-Cuban and Oriental musical traditions. Her artistic approach is rooted in innovation, experimentation, communicative energy.

 

Doors open at 8:00pm! Free entrance. Attend three concerts and become a jury for the artists of tomorrow!

Be part of the adventure: attend as many concerts as you want for free and rate your favourite artists each night. You will be invited to fill out an evaluation form, it is important to EVALUATE THE TWO PERFORMANCES of the evening and attend the three performances.
