JOHAEDI
Johaedi (a contraction of Johanna and Eding, which means “love” in Ewondo) is a singer-songwriter born in Yaoundé, Cameroon and currently based in Montreal. She began writing songs, in English and French, at the age of 6. Today, her lyrics deal with love, heartbreak, growth and identity. Johaedi has multiple influences – jazz, R&B, and afrobeat – you can find the influence of Norah Jones, Summer Walker or Coeur de Pirate, but also of Richard Bona and Ayo.
