Welcome to the 16th edition of Syli d’Or de la musique du monde!

From February 14 to April 12, 2023, every Tuesday and Wednesday at 8:30pm at the Club Balattou, you can participate to the selection of the 9 bands ‘’Coup de coeur’’ who will be send in semi-finales !

▷ KONÉ KAN | Mandinka Rhythms (Ivory Coast)

Aboulaye Koné, and his sons Aboubakar Sidiki, come from a family of Ivorian Griots (musicians, historians and storytellers from West Africa). Aboulaye learned music in Burkina Faso from Djeli Baba Kienou and accompanied several African stars during his career. In Canada, he is considered an undisputed Mandingo musician. His first album “Afo Gné” was nominated at the JUNO Awards in 2012 in the category Best World Music Album. His sons are talented multi-instrumentalist.

▷ GUYNARD & NEW FORMULE | Congolese Rumba (Congo)

GUYNARD & NEW FORMULE is the project of singer, composer and choreographer Guynard Mungu. Accompanied by his musicians, the artist offers a rhythmic and colorful performance with a Congolese rumba feel, associated with various musical influences from around the world.

Doors open at 8:00pm! Free entrance. Attend three concerts and become a jury for the artists of tomorrow!

Be part of the adventure: attend as many concerts as you want for free and rate your favourite artists each night. You will be invited to fill out an evaluation form, it is important to EVALUATE THE TWO PERFORMANCES of the evening and attend the three performances.
