Les Frères Sissokho

A concert by the Frères Sissokho is a joyful reunion to the rhythms of the djembe, dundun and kora, to which everyone is invited. A bit of sabar here, of mbalax there… it’s all about singing, dancing, and improvising against a backdrop of traditions handed down from generation to generation. Come and join in the fun and laughter! The Sissokho brothers, Sadio and Fa, originally from Senegal, are descendants of one of the great families of Mandingo griots in West Africa. They pay homage to tradition by injecting a good dose of creativity. Multi-instrumentalists, masters of the kora and percussion, they handle their instruments and voices with disarming dexterity and panache. Come and discover or rediscover this musical culture, rich in history and bewitching rhythms, in a warm and festive atmosphere.
