Born during jam sessions during the pandemic, Less Toches is an explosive musical collision, a refreshing and unexpected cumbia big bang on the island of Montreal. The eternal magic of Latin American peasant troubadours is carried by Less Toches with a poetic, mystical and naughty air. The band’s name comes from a tropical bird, the toche, whose harmonious vocals demonstrate that borders don’t exist. Humor and trance translate into an interpretation that comes from the deep spirit of cumbia and accordion music. Their Colombian, Mexican and Argentinian origins come together to revive the traditions that marked their childhood through the rhythms of folklore. Continental cumbia from Montreal!
