MESTIZO

Mestizo’s project is to bring the music of the Andes to Canada. MESTIZO was born in the fall of 2006 with a show in the picturesque and great Côte-des-Neiges neighborhood in Montreal. 

Their musical style is contemporary, ancient and modern Andean music. Their compositions are inspired by different Andean music groups like Kjarkas, Proyeccion and Illapu. South American music is a mixture of indigenous, Spanish and African cultures.

Mestizo spreads the richness of South American music: saya, huayno, sanjuanito, tinku, cueca, carnavalito, trote, etc. Their objective: to make this music known to the whole world!

CABARET ACOUSTIQUE NUITS D’AFRIQUE – at the Club Balattou

The legendary Club Balattou, and all its team, is happy to welcome you, with the “Cabaret acoustique Nuits d’Afrique”.
It is a whole program that awaits you, especially concocted for the public! You will be able to enjoy live performances every week, from Thursday to Sunday, at 9pm. A musical rendez-vous, which makes you travel through Africa, the Caribbean and Latin America, not to be missed !
