Regeneration is a group in love with the Roots Reggae popularized in Jamaica in the 1970s. They want to regenerate this sound, honor it and give it another breath of life, while it is no longer played much compared to other sub-genres of Reggae. And what better way to do this than with a band that brings together several generations! In its heart is as much a doyen of reggae as young music students.
The choice of Roots Reggae comes down to an attachment to authentic sounds and lyrics, set to rhythms that contrast with the stress of modern life. As Noé Regen, the band’s singer, writes, “Live your life at 60bpm, time and space for those you love” (Reggae Stylie).
Kind is the expression of every sentiment caused by pain and struggle, and the overcoming of both. It is about the journey from being sick to becoming healthy. Each song has been written in the heart of pain and physical losses, regressions and eventually progressions. In each song, lyrics are the tips and tools that helped him generate wellbeing, health and joyfulness. This project is about healing, about learning how to love yourself and others, about persistance and determination.
This project is about alleviating suffering and helping people live a more blissful life.
At the end of 2019, six of the greatest young musicians in Montréal joined Kind to concretize his dream of creating a show that would help people forget about their worries, reduce physical pain and help people differentiate pain from suffering, inspiring them at the same time to live a healthier, more conscious life.
