From February 13 to April 25, 2024, every Tuesday and Wednesday at 8:30pm at the Club Balattou, you can participate to the selection of the 9 bands ‘’Coup de coeur’’ who will be send in semi-finales !

▷ SIAKA DIABATE | Afro-mandigue, Jazz, Blues (Burkina Faso)
Born into a griot family in Orodara, Siaka Diabaté began his musical journey playing balafon under his father’s guidance. 2008 marked his arrival in Ouagadougou and his encounter with the kora, which quickly became his life’s companion. His first artistic collaborations began in 2011, taking him to the stages of Burkina Faso and beyond. Since 2022, living in Ottawa, Canada, Siaka continues to enrich the local music scene with his eclectic talent, combining African traditions with new musical experiences, creating a unique and captivating harmony.
▷ LA PIOLA | Argentinian folklore (Argentina)
La Piola is an Argentinean folk band based in Montreal, founded by the bass player Ivan Tolj. The group is dedicated to reviving ancient sounds from the Plata River and the littoral region. Collaborating with the captivating voice of the Porteña Maria Luz Seferiadez, as well as percussion and flute, the ensemble transports audiences to the vibrant rhythms of Milonga, Candombe, Chacareras, and Chamamé.
Doors open at 8:00pm! Free entrance. Attend three concerts and become a jury for the artists of tomorrow!

Be part of the adventure: attend as many concerts as you want for free and rate your favourite artists each night. You will be invited to fill out an evaluation form, it is important to EVALUATE THE TWO PERFORMANCES of the evening and attend the three performances.
