YONG (Karnatox)

Olivier Yong, formerly known as Karnatox, began his musical journey in the late 1990s in Douala, Cameroon, blending hip-hop, rap, and Afro-pop. He gained public recognition in 2005 with his track Tochè Tochè, followed by his first 7-track EP Faut pas que je flanche in 2008. In 2009, he won Best Compilation at the Mboa Hip Hop Awards under the Believe Records label. Nominated at the Canal 2’Or Awards in 2010 and 2013, he later embraced a solo career under his real name and released the single BÉNI, which earned him the Best Video award at the Gospel Music Awards in 2019. Now based in Canada, Olivier Yong is pursuing his vision of an international music career.
