Johaedi

Johaedi (a contraction of Johanna and Eding, which means “love” in Ewondo) is a singer-songwriter born in Yaoundé, Cameroon and currently based in Montreal. She began writing songs – in English and French – at the age of 6. Today, her lyrics deal with love, heartbreak, growth and identity. Johaedi has multiple influences – jazz, R&B, and afrobeat – you can find a bit of Norah Jones, Summer Walker or Coeur de Pirate, but also Richard Bona and Ayo.
