The Burning BRASs Band is a feminist brass and percussion band based in Montreal, since the summer of 2022. Composed exclusively of a dozen women and gender-diverse diversity, the mission of this artistic project is to increase the place of women, trans of women, trans, non-binary and queer people on the local music scene. Through this project, we want to raise the profile of brass band music, a style that is in Quebec and Canada. Brass band music originated in the colorful streets of New Orleans. Orleans, we want to perpetuate this tradition of festive open-air music for the community to participate in the vitality of the city and have a positive impact on the social fabric.

Using arrangements of popular songs with a festive, exhilarating funk flavor, the Burning BRASs Band revisits various classics from the popular music repertoire, as well as some the brass band tradition here and elsewhere. We put forward musical pieces with lively rhythms, from Lady Gaga to from Lady Gaga to Stromae, using the unique sound of brass to captivate crowds and set the stage on fire.

CABARET ACOUSTIQUE NUITS D’AFRIQUE – at the Club Balattou

The legendary Club Balattou, and all its team, is happy to welcome you, with the “Cabaret acoustique Nuits d’Afrique”.
It is a whole program that awaits you, especially concocted for the public! You will be able to enjoy live performances every week, from Thursday to Sunday, at 9pm. A musical rendez-vous, which makes you travel through Africa, the Caribbean and Latin America, not to be missed !
