“As the rhythms take over, we can finally get a true taste of the Caribbean” (Le Devoir, 2020). Ronald Lebeau & Kwaliti were awarded Bronze at the 2020 Syli d’Or de la musique du monde as well as Afropop Award for their stage presence. The versatile singer, influenced by American and Haitian stars, began his music career at the age of 16.  The group’s energetic kompa style, enhanced with pop and African rhythms and the occasional dash of blues is on full display, especially in their covers of Muzion’s La vi ti nèg or George Michael’s Careless Whisper.
